IMG 20150721 164134Between 20 to 21 July 2015, the Exlibris Company in collaboration with national coordinator of  MISISQ project, Liubovi Karnaeva, organized a training session for the implementation and administration  of specialized library software ALEPH in academic libraries of Moldova. The purpose of the training: to cultivate skills and knowledge concerning the Administration Module. The activity was conducted within the Tempus Project - Modern Information Services for Improvement Study Quality Managers and system librarians have been involved in the training. For introductory session, those attending the training became familiar with basic terms in Aleph, naming and numbering conventions, connection, modules and system functions, Oracle and Aleph tables, subsidiaries and allowances, directory tree, subdirectories, utilities, server management, monitoring services and task manager.

System librarians were trained about ALEPHADM Module, handling server tables, tables display, history and log tables, handling customer tables, handling ini files, linguistic manipulation.

During the period 22-24  July  a training session on the implementation of library specialized software ALEPH: cataloguing Module will be held. The training is designed for cataloguers from academic libraries - MISISQ Project partners.

Place: N. Testemitanu, 29 street , Republican Clinic Hospital, 3rd floor, Scientific Medical Library, Information Center INFOMEDICA no. 3.

 

 

IMG 0593On 7th May 2015, within the Project Modern Information Services for Improvement Study Quality, a meeting of the working  group WP2 e-repository was held. Issues related to the DSpace software installation stage for the developing of institutional repositories were discussed during the meeting. At the same time, some problems encountered when installing Dspace were discussed and some decisions were taken in order to solve them.

     The participants presented a mini report with reference to the activities carried out on this issue. Suggestions and proposals were made by: Liubovi Karnaeva - national coordinator of the project; Ana Gudima - member of the working group; Alexandr Colesnicov, Octavian Tverdohleb, Igor Afatin - engineers of institutions participating in the Project.

Report about the dSpace installation in the university Libraries from Moldova

    From 15 to 17 April 2015, the Library and the Information Centre of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (Kaunas, LT) organized a training course on implementing the specialized library software ALEPH in academic libraries from Moldova. The purpose of the training was to cultivate skills and knowledge in Cataloging, Acquisition, Circulations and Administrating Modules. The activity was held within the Tempus Project   - Modern Information Services for Improvement Study Quality. Seventeen academic librarians, partners in the project, have been trained.
